Fade Protection
3M Window Films are designed to reduce the effects of solar heat and visible light on your furnishings and will block up to 99% of the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, which are the single largest cause of fading.
In general, the darker the film = the less heat and glare coming through your glass = more fade control. However, with some of the newer 3M films, such as the 3M Prestige Series and the Thinsulate™ 75 Climate Control Window Film, quite a bit of heat is controlled with a much lighter film. The Prestige 70 and the Thinsulate™ 75 films are nearly invisible.
